Being in Partnership with HHG Virtual Village

Human rights advocacy is about finding ways to pressure or persuade actors to respect the dignity of every human being and national sovereignty to meet their responsibilities under international law.

Human Rights are universally acknowledged

Every person is entitled to both civil and political rights such as the right to life, health, liberty and possession.

That all compliance are met in accord with the United Nations Declaration of Human Rights (UNDHR) 1948 and the United Nations Charter (UNC) 1945.

Advocating includes documenting human rights abuses, creating a case file of the facts, so that no government or corporation cannot claim plausible deniability.

Documenting the human rights violations that have occurred, requires investigation and due diligence, can take weeks, months, and sometimes years. Taking witness statements from people with firsthand knowledge of what has happened being; victims, their family members and eyewitnesses. This may include contacting local human rights advocates, lawyers, government officials, and United Nations representatives.

All statements are cross checked and corroborate with others in order to create a full and accurate picture of what human rights violations have been committed. Human rights abuses and violations are against the highest law recognised on an international level by all legally instated sovereign governments. Those with power whether they're government or corporate officials must comply with all recognised international law as enshrined in the United Nations Universal Declaration of Human Rights 1948 and the United Nations Charter 1945.

The core of good advocacy is to be well educated legally and understand full history of Human Rights law.

Identify who is legally accountable to maintain and exercise compliances with the International Law.
